Lady Justice
This statue is one of the most famous statue in the world. The statue was not attributed to one artist creators, because these statues as found in many court buildings. This statue has many names, among them the “Scales of Justice”, “Blind Justice”, but better known by the name of “Lady Justice”. Formerly the Roman era and the ancient Greek statue is created as a picture of Goddess of Justice and Law. The personification of justice balancing the scales of truth and fairness dates back to ancient Egypt and the Goddess Maat, and later Isis. The Roman Empire replaced the ancient Egyptian legal system with its own laws but adopted the image of a female goddess: Justitia has frequently been depicted as a woman carrying a sword and scales, and wearing a blindfold. Her modern iconography, which frequently adorns courthouses and courtrooms, conflates the attributes of several goddesses who embodied Right Rule for Greeks and Romans, blending Roman blindfolded Fortuna (luck) with Hellenistic Greek Tyche (fate), and sword-carrying Nemesis (vengeance).
The Thinker
Manufacturer sculpture “The Thinker” was named Auguste Rodin. Previously, the original name of this sculpture is “The Poet”, which depicts a naked man sitting ponder his poetry. Rodin based his theme on The Divine Comedy of Dante and entitled the portal The Gates of Hell. Each of the statues in the piece represented one of the main characters in the epic poem. The Thinker was originally meant to depict Dante in front of the Gates of Hell, pondering his great poem. (In the final sculpture, a miniature of the statue sits atop the gates, pondering the hellish fate of those beneath him). The sculpture is nude, as Rodin wanted a heroic figure in the tradition of Michelangelo, to represent intellect as well as poetry.
Christian Dior, men of great taste and eye for many branches of fashion, is also a person who almost became a politician. When he was 18 years old he enrolled at “Ecole des Sciences Politiques” to please his father and to end as a part of diplomatic corps. Five years later he co-opened with his friend the art gallery, but because of financial problems of his family, he closed it. At the very least, I’d expect something looking at the show’s source material, the outstanding Image comic by Robert Kirkman. I’d also like to request some zombie commentary. I think those crazy kids might have more on their mind than just braaaaiiiins, if only somebody would give them a chance and shove a microphone in front of them.
